By now, people must have understood that someway or the other, I am an extremely expressive person with a view generally weird and different from the rest. From cigarettes to football, opinions have been diverse. But my opinion on the Indian Education System will never and ever change. Recently I got an sms from one of my friends quoting:
"In future, new exam pattern of India:
1. General Students: Answer all questions
2. OBC: Write any question
3. SC: Only Read Question
4. ST: Thanks for coming to the exam. "
Now, this is purely a joke not intended to harm any sentiments, but if some parts of
India are deprived then, is Quota system the solution to the problem? And is it really finding a solution to the problem? I gone through a statistics recently which states that the condition of the SC section of Indian Population has even deteriorated dramatically, including many other castes as well. So what is the solution? Increase the quota percentage?
Indian education system wont progress like this, and neither will these communities. Deprivation of a particular section occurs due to lack of financial constraints which not only an SC/ST but also a Brahmin can face. Its the duty of the society to allow these sections to creep up. What will eventually happen is the quota system will be limited to a few percentage of population from these castes where generation after generation, they will be taking this advantage up. Even if you want to keep this system, Make a law that only 1 generation/person per family can utilize this quota, so that other families can also get a chance to improve their condition.
NO POINT MAKING THE RICH RICHER, AND THE POOR POORER.
I wish there was another Anna taking care of this issue.
